The Non Resident Nepali Association has welcomed the decision of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) to withdraw the indefinite strike in the country. Issuing a press release NRNA has says, “It’s been our firm view that all the problems and differences among the political parties should be resolved through dialogue in a peaceful manner.”
They have mentioned that they would like to see the promulgation of a new constitution enshrining the democratic principles and universally recognized human rights at the earliest. It’s been stated in the release saying that the time is running out fast for avoiding the imminent constitutional vacuum that has the potential to bring chaos and great misery to the people.
‘The NRNA has called the leaders of the three main political parties to rise up their parties’ ideology and interest and work in the national interest of Nepal and her people to secure a peaceful and prosperous future of Nepal. They have called protesters to ensure human rights of the citizens not participating in the protest’, mentioned in the release.
Release says, ‘Parties and groups to refrain from activities that lead to conflict and put the right of the ordinary citizens to pursue their life and profession in a normal way in jeopardy.’
At the last of release it is stated that the new environment created by the withdrawal of the indefinite strike will pave the way for a consensus.
